On 22th of May, we attended with a delegation of OceanBi, the Automation in BI & Analytics Congres 2014.
We arrived early to set up our stand. The focus was mainly at our Dynamic Data Modeling tool; DDM Studio. We installed a demo environment on our server to demonstrate to the audience.
Different lectures were given throughout the day. Ronald Damhof started the day with a session about how to build up a graphical four-quadrant framework for data deployment that can be used to formulate strategy or to position technology in the data- and analytics arena. He showed the fundamental principles and non-functionals regarding architecture, level of automation, data modeling, governance, etc.
A very interesting session was given by Bill Inmon about the Business Value out of Big Data. He discussed that we need context in order to get value out of Big Data.
The Automation in BI & Analytics Congres 2014 was delightful and we discovered new point of views regarding automation in Business Intelligence.
